Elena’s represents a personal project from the Original Joe’s team. The design blends a palate of natural materials and opens up the space to the original existing roof trusses. Skylights were added to accent the installation of three large interior Ficus trees and to bring natural light into the dining room. An open exhibition cookline allows guests to see food being prepared over a live fire grill. Antiqued Copper gas lanterns flanking the bar and booth seating provide a warm ambiance to the space. Gas lamps on the exterior continue the warmth to street along with black steel windows and an integral color plaster facade.
